One More Mountain

Our goodbyes to the family this morning were short but sweet as everyone rushed off to school and work.  We carried all of our stuff from their house back to our house and started out for I 80 around 10 am after the morning "rush hour" commuters left the streets in Clayton and Concord with little traffic.  Our route took us through the Sierra Nevada range, winding up

and down 200+ miles heading north east toward Nevada.

The last mountain took us as high as 9000' in altitude

before dropping us down

and down

and down

to 5000' as we crossed into Nevada.

We arrived just a bit too late to drive the last 60 miles before arriving at our next rv park.  The nice people at Cabela's allow traveling rvers to boondock in their back parking lot for the night.  Our friends Brock and Leola arrived and parked next to us.

Nice to be back together again,

Duane and Louise
