Nevada, Not Ohio

Our next rv site was not available until after 12:30 which gave us plenty of time this morning for our daily 2 mile walk.

From our rig in Cabela's rv parking lot (where we were finally reunited with our friends Brock and Leola--next to us) we walked 4 times around the store.

We discovered that Cabela's has not only offered a free, safe spot for travelers to overnight, but also provided dog kennels for owners who wished to shop or play or eat at the casino next door,

an exercise area for pets,

and three horse corrals.

This wonderful bronze sculpture greets customers as they enter the store.

The details are amazing.

About 11 am we packed up again for the last 60 miles of this trip.  Yesterday as we headed we followed the Truckee River on our right.  Today we went south on the other side of the river.

The closer we went to Reno,

the more bikers we encountered headed for the Street Vibrations Fall Rally.

We continued south to Carson City, then turned east for a few miles to the Dayton RV Park, our new home for the next two weeks.

A nice uneventful trip!
