103 miles and 4 1/2 hours made a dandy ride for us today. Starting at Congress at 3045' Brock, Leola, Duane and I rode the bikes past the big frog
swerved up Yarnell Hill (Weaver Mountains)
rolled through ranchland
and valley (5075') toward yonder mountains.
We snaked our way up
higher
through the beautiful Prescott National Forest
to the highest point on our trip--6100' (no idea about the flamingo)
then down 700' to Prescott,
and stopped at the west edge of the city for lunch.
Continuing west through a giants' toyland of building blocks,
we gently swept down from the mountains
through Skull Valley (4265')
and gradually dropped 300' to Kirkland.
We made a right turn and once again found ourselves riding the Pleasant Valley ranchlands
through Yarnell and back down 1700' to the desert floor
past the frog and home.
Beautiful weather, beautiful ride.
Louise and Duane
