While hiking Pole Canyon, we enjoyed a lot more than cool breezes and wonderful vista views.
In the woods we loved the roar and chuckle of mountain streams.
Across the mountain face the path was full of little pieces of mica which sparkled like diamonds in the sunlight.
In the meadows flowers were abundant.
The air smelled clean and fresh on the mountain, but the best smell of all was given off by these wild roses. Very sweet!
Too bad Duane couldn't smell them!
