Cruising

On our first foray into Yellowstone National Park we rode from Flagg rv park through the south gate and north on US 89.

The ride was beautiful across the Red Mountains

along the Snake River

and past Lewis Lake.

As we approached the major attractions, we encountered more traffic.

We joined the throng at Old Faithful

then made our way past the Upper and Lower Geyser Basins.

We found a nice shady picnic table for lunch, then wandered along the Firehole Lake Drive

before turning south again on US 89 for the ride home.

Along the way we crossed the Continental Divide 6 times--three on the way north and the same three on the way back.

We stopped to admire Mystic Falls,

and Kepler Cascades.

Next, north Yellowstone.
