Physical therapy evaluation for Medicare resulted in ten more sessions for Duane. After his evaluation he went through his usual routine except for the bicycle. He has improved enough that he doesn’t need the extra step to get in and out of the truck. He also goes up and down steps alternating feet, although coming down he has both feet on a step before descending to the next one. He has good and not so good days. Today was a good one. After therapy he felt well enough for a Wendy’s burger and a stroll around the Walmart before we went home. In the evening he walked a mile and sat in his office chair (knees bent) for an hour.
Now, if he could only sleep in the bed!
