Out With The Old

The reason that there were so few pictures yesterday was that my camera was on its last lens.   I took the picture of the mountains then it died.  After we were settled in our new spot, Duane gave it a few good whacks and resuscitated it for a few more pix before it gave up its sd card and battery for the last time.

Today I cut fabric in the morning while Duane played pickleball.  After lunch we had planned to visit a local landmark--The Garden Of The Gods using Duane's big camera.  As we were eating a thunderstorm rolled over the mountains and poured rain on Colorado Springs.  Instead of biking and hiking, we took the truck to buy a new camera.  The new one is the same make and model of the old one, but of a different color.  It works like new!

After watching the weather for a couple of days, it seems that the mornings are usually clear and that if it's going to rain, that will occur in the afternoon.  With that in mind we have decided to try The Garden tomorrow morning.

Giving the new camera its first workout tomorrow.
