When an afternoon storm hits around here, you never know what will happen. Today we got everything--wind, thunder, lightning, pouring rain and pounding hail. It was so loud that I could hardly hear myself shouting at Duane!
The entire parking lot was covered with hail. It looked as if it had a covering of snow. It was all gone within an hour or so.
This pool is about 2 inches deep.
Duane checked the truck but didn't find any dents.
On the roof of the house we found two round vent caps literally pounded to bits. The wind scattered pieces everywhere--across the roof, on top of the slide, and on the ground.
Both skylights were cracked and had let in water. Duane temporarily taped them.
The only good thing the storm provided.
Tomorrow morning we ride.
