For two weeks we have been looking at the Raton sign from our front door.
It's really visible at night when the sign and the star are lit.
After doing some travel prep for tomorrow, we decided to see the sign up close. We drove to town and asked someone how to access Goat Hill. The GPS shows us here on our way back down.
We parked in a wide area and walked a short way up the rest of the hill to the back of the Raton sign,
and the Flag and star. Duane's standing under it taking in
the panoramic view of the town.
The RV park is across the highway behind that two story brown building (toward the middle of the pic).
One last look at the horizon and we were ready for home.
Moving day tomorrow.
