Timber Valley

The Timber Valley SKP Park outside Sutherland, OR is our home for the next two weeks.

An SKP or Escapee is a park that offer limited stays to rvers.  These parks owned and operated by the Escapees RV Club.  There are 8 of these scattered around the country.  There are also 11 co-op parks, which means that the parks are affiliated with Escapees, and members and guests must be Escapee members.  The co-op parks differ in that they long-term lease their sites and allow sheds, porches, patios, and outdoor landscaping or gardening.

The park is large with 206 double sites and wide long streets for easy maneuverability.

Our friends Brock and Leola and we are subleasing sites from members who are gone for the summer.
There is plenty of room for our rig, the concrete patio, the bike and the truck.  (The shed is not accessible to us)

There are two buildings in the park:  the office

and the activities center.  Inside the porch doors

to the left is a dance floor with dj equipment and pool tables.

to the left of the doors is a used item donation table and a wall quilt with each block representing each resident.

Across from this wall are tables and chairs and a stage.  Behind the stage is

the laundry room

To the left is some exercise equipment and the door to

the activities room for crafts, games, ice cream social, dinners, etc. with restrooms down the hall.

Nothing planned tomorrow.
