Really Good News

In the last couple of months three bike riding friends of ours were seriously injured while riding their bikes.  Our friend Wayne (in Georgia) broke all the bones in his foot and two of his toes.  Infection set in, threatening to require amputation!  Recently, however we learned that the foot is now healing nicely and the pins should come out within another month.  Whew!

Today we met our other two friends today at this little restaurant in Waynesville (OH).

We were happy to see Brian was functioning normally (except for being careful with his mending shoulder.  Amy was still in a wheelchair because her broken pelvis and hip limits her walking to physical therapy, and the injuries to her right arm further limit her activities. She is looking at another two months of healing.  However, her attitude is excellent.  She put her thumb and forefinger about an inch apart and said "It's only this much of my life."  Awesome!

Brian and Amy are both looking forward to taking a bike trip with us in the near future.
Unfortunately for Wayne, his  physical issues have put an end to his bike riding.

Tomorrow, a trip to Cinci.
