Nice View

Yesterday we started our week's stay at Forest Lake RV Park outside Advance, NC.

The park is an older one, but quite nicely maintained.

We were happy to find our lot extra wide on three sides.  Our neighbors on the right are rather close, and block Duane's view on that side.

Otherwise, our views are quite nice.  From the doors

from my chair looking forward,

out the side window,

and out the back.

We'd hoped to ride the bike around this area, but the beautiful warm weather of yesterday gave way to gray and cool dampness--perfect for a trip to the grocery in the am.  After lunch, Duane played pickleball in Lexington (about 10 miles away) and I quilted my latest project.

Next up--more projects, apparently.

Louise and Duane

PS  Yesterday I stated that the New River flowed through most of Virginia and part of North Carolina.  The New River actually flows north through part of NC, all the way through western Virginia, and through West Virginia where it joins the Kanawha as part of the Ohio River watershed.
