Yesterday (Saturday), I took this shot of the swimming pond at Ottawa Metro Park, with a view of Lake Lima beyond.
This morning we walked around this area for a closer view. This an opposite view of the one above. Here we can see the swimming pond with the hill beyond (where I was standing in the pic above.) The pond is very nice clean water with two slides, a dock for jumping an umbrella shower and a large shallow area for little ones. There are three shaded picnic areas also.
This is a close-up of the above view of Lima Lake. This is about 1/4 of the whole lake.
We also found this nice amphitheater.
This evening we walked the hike/bike path around the grassy area adjacent to the rv park on the west. It measured just over 1/2 mile around the perimeter, so we estimate that the whole perimeter path enclosing the park is close to 2 miles long. Very nice. We managed to complete our walk before the rain storm caught us.
