On My walk today I moved to the side of the road to let a car pass. I saw a stick stretched out there. It took me about 5 seconds to realize that the stick was a snake and to get my camera out of my pocket. As I focused the snake realized that I wasn't fooled. In one second--no exaggeration--one second it went from a stretch to a coil and started wagging shaking its tail, mimicking a rattlesnake.
I started smiling at the rouse. When it saw I was not fooled, in about 3 seconds it uncoiled and moved about 5 feet
to this bunch of mown grass and disappeared. I am amazed that I could focus and shoot that fast!
Always something interesting,
Louise and Duane
