Two Weeks In Alabama

Rainbow Plantation Escapees Rv Park has the usual office

and activities center, except that this one is built with a rectangular central room with smaller rooms situated along all four walls at right angles.

Today a music group provided music.  Some people came to listen, but there was a card game and a game of Mexican Train dominoes going on also.

The wing on the right is the kitchen.   The one on the left houses the laundry.  Next to it are black solar panels which provide heat to

the swimming pool.

Opposite the restoroms/showers is the library/jigsaw puzzle room.

In the wing opposite the kitchen are two small rooms.  One is the craft room--today being used for woodcarving,

and the other is the pool room, empty today except for Duane practicing his shots.

Rainbow Plantation is one of three Escapees parks that were built next to deeded lots.  The rv park is next to the road.

The deeded lots make up most of the property.

The streets and rv sites at this park are extra wide for easy access and maneuvering.

Although the frigid wind has finally moved on, the arctic air that has blasted the nation was still sticking around.  We stayed indoors most of the day, venturing out only in mid afternoon.

Warmer weather is on the way.
