Old Friends

At 6 am this morning our daughter Stacy (right) and daughter-in-law Ruth Ann didn't look this perky  (this pic was taken earlier) when they helped us gather our stuff and packed our lunch for us, but they cheerfully hugged and kissed us out the door before heading back to bed.

We spent the day driving south, enjoying the beautiful sunrise and

blue sunshiny skies while rolling through the beautiful mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee.

We arrive safely in Georgia and were warmly welcomed by our long-time friends Denise and Wayne.

Other than sitting at the table for Denise's delicious pork chop dinner, we spent the majority of the afternoon and evening relaxing and catching up on the news, and enjoying homemade apple cobbler and ice cream after dinner.

In discussing plans for tomorrow, we got as far as breakfast--somewhere around 9 am.

A good start to our two day stay!
