Slow Day

After we practiced pickleball this morning, we didn’t have much to do except sit around inside avoiding the heat and waiting for delivery of two boxes.  One has new (regulation) pickleballs, and the other was our favorite sea salt caramels.  They were expensive, but not any more than making three trips to Costco to get them!

I worked on my latest project, a quilted wall hanging of Thor’s Hammer, one of Bryce Canyon’s famous rocks.  It required some applique, which I finished today.  Duane needs some supplies before he can get to work on his carvings.

The arrival of our two boxes today freed us to make a shopping trip to “the Big City” tomorrow for supplies.  We will be visiting Lowes, The Joann Store, some quilt shops, and will be on the hunt for some good pizza for lunch.

Exciting times!

Louise and Duane
