Closer To Colorado

A beautiful ride on a beautiful day took us 180 Miles north on I25 to the city of Raton (Rah TONE) New Mexico.  There were some hills and curves,

but for the most part we passed through miles of flat grasslands.

We amused ourselves by spotting pronghorns.

They were tricky to spot and trickier to photograph,

but I managed to get a few good shots.

We arrived unscathed at our home for the next two weeks.

This park is just off the highway, so that there is some traffic noise, but the sites are nice, level gravel with easy access.

There is one building with the office, showers/restrooms,

and the clean but tiny laundry.

We opted to find lunch and a laundromat in town.

We plan on taking several motorcycle rides while we are in this area, starting tomorrow.
