Lazy-Busy

With nowhere to go and nothing to do, we goofed off this morning long enough for the predicted rain to delay our walk.  It poured like this for 1 1/2 hours.

The rainy afternoon inspired me to do something constructive.  For Christmas presents each year I make scrubbies.  First I buy different colors of netting.  (The one on the right is blue, the other is actually purple.)

I cut it all up into 1 1/2 inch strips.

I put slits in the ends and loop strips together to make one long color strip, then roll into balls.

Each color is crocheted into small non-scratching scrubbers.

After the rain stopped, we walked around the park.  When we arrived on Wednesday, this place was almost empty.  Today a whole lot of campers poured in.  We saw a variety of shelters ranging from the smallest tent

to big busses and everything in-between, a  good 1/3 of which are tents of every size.

The other thing we did today was to prepare for overnight guests.  After the wedding tomorrow, our daughter Stacy and her partner Ruth Ann will be staying with us before heading home.

Only two more days here.

Scrubbers are an excellent idea for Christmas. I may have to borrow this idea.
Hope y'all enjoy the wedding.
