Evening Ramble

Duane took a bike ride this afternoon.  He liked this sign enough to ride the short way to take the pic.

When you cross the river you enter 5
Civilized Nation tribal lands.

He stopped by the Corps of Engineers park north of here but still on the Texas side.  Some of the campsites here are underwater.

Food trivia:

Every gallon of seawater contains more than 1/4 pound of salt.

Honey is a versatile food.  It is one of only a very few foods that does not spoil.  It can be eaten by itself, used in cooking, made into fermented drinks, and has medicinal properties.

Cheerios are 75 years old.  In May of 1941 General Mills introduced CheeriOats, with little 'o' shapes.  It was the first oat-based, ready-to-eat cold cereal.  The name was changed to Cheerios in 1946 because of a trade name dispute with Quaker Oats.
