Rare Day

With nothing that needed to be done at work or the gym, the family enjoyed a whole Saturday at home.  The weather turned cooperated by turning warm and sunny after a week of chilly overcast.  The family  enjoyed a game of Yahtzee

and lunch on the porch before the guys went off to do chores:

and adjusting gates.  One had to be lowered so that the dog couldn’t shimmy under and escape the yard.  The other had to be raised so that it swung easily and didn’t drag across the drive.

The children rode around the corral while Aunt Stacy and Grandma took copious pictures.

We fit in a few games of Bingo before supper.

Here’s something I’ve never seen before—a two-year-old that likes salad!

We topped off dinner with Blue Bell ice cream (the best in Texas), then watched the children tumble around with each other on the floor.  We had to say goodbye to Stacy and Ruth Ann.  They will be leaving early tomorrow.

Many thanks to Brandey for whipping up two delicious meals for us today.

Only a couple of days left.

Our girls loved salads. If we would go out to eat, they would order salads. The waitress always looked at them and said...Don't you want Mac and Cheese? Nope...only salads. I think that is one reason they never gained the Freshman 25. Glad he is starting out on the right foot. Good eating habits can never go wrong.
