Cooperation

When our boys hear that we are coming for a visit, their usual response is to get out their big chore lists.  On Duane Jr’s list was the assembly of a play center for children whose parents work out in the gym.  We arrived about 3pm to find a pile of parts.

The equipment consists of a raised deck with ladder, swings/trapeze, climbing wall, and slide.  Brandey put out a help call to gym members.  Three intrepid guys  showed up.

First the deck,

then swing/trapeze support,

and the roof.

Everyone helped.  We picked up all the trash, not only the packing from the equipment, but what had blown down the road from the cabinet shop dumpster.

The children also helped by amusing themselves and not getting into too much trouble.

At this point the slide is a scoot.

For all of our efforts we rewarded ourselves with supper at Dairy Queen.

I don’t recall ever seeing a blood red moon.  It was truly awesome!!!  As it rose it changed to orange, then its usual beautiful creamy white.  The “rabbit” is clearly visible in all three pix.

Tomorrow, time for some pickleball.
