Waiting for the Ohio aunts to arrive for a two day visit, we all whiled away the time playing, first in the bunkhouse, a combination playhouse/visitors’ bedroom/storage/tack room.
Busy with activity books.
When the toddlers woke from naps we drove to the gym for Brandey’s evening class. Aunt Stacy and Aunt Ruth Ann (aka Rufie), were meeting us there for a tour of the new buildings. (In our blended family, Duane’s two children are Stacy and Duane Jr. The other four are mine.)
From the moment they arrived the aunts were bombarded by boisterous children demanding their attention: At the gym,

Aunt Stacy with Ava and Coy.
in the bunkhouse guest room,
enjoying ice cream in the house.
The girls decided to put on a dancing show. Ave emceed using Stacy’s phone for music.
Ruth Ann and Emma showed off their moves. Alyssa, as usual, put herself in the thick of things.
It was after ten when we left. The party was just starting to wind down.
Still a few more days of this chaos.
