Building Two

From the door or our house here at the Thousand Trails Forest Lake Preserve, southwest of Winston-Salem, NC. we can see a footbridge across the water.

The lake is really just a pond,

but the resident ducks

and geese don't mind.

Across the footbridge is the recreational area of the park.

The other two buildings in the park (apart from the Office), are located here.
This is the Adult Activity Center.  No one under the age of 18 is allowed here without a an adult.

Outside to the left is the hot tub/spa,

with the pool directly behind the building.

Inside to the left is this nice 3/3 laundry with new commercial machines and a decent folding table.

Inside are offices and restrooms , and a very nice large activity room with a fireplace (not pictured).

We were scheduled to leave here on Monday, but after some discussion, we decided to extend our stay until  next Friday.  By then the weather will have warmed up and we'll be able to take a few bike rides around the area.  Meantime Duane continues to play pickleball during the week and I am making lots of progress on my Christmas projects.

Just hangin' for now,

Louise and Duane
