Plan for the day--eat pizza! We had to scrap our original plan to have brick oven baked pie when we discovered that the place was closed for renovations. Plan B was to eat at the first pizza place after that. Chicago pizza is not our usual choice, but we went inside anyway.
A trendy bar is not our usual choice, but we stayed anyway. We were pleasantly surprised to find a booth, a thin crust pizza, and Pepsi products (highly unusual in a bar) to drink.
We were glad we stayed. We snagged one of only 2 booths, a pretty good pizza, and an excellent waiter.
Mission accomplished.
