Both (our daughter) Stacy and (her partner) Ruth Ann run their own business from home so that we have to make plans with them on a day-to-day basis. This usually leaves us to our own devices in the mornings. Duane has been playing pickleball with the big guns on public pickleball courts nearby. I have been working on a book of wisdom to help our soon-to-be new teenager Maddy navigate the next few years.
This afternoon Stacy and Ruth Ann got a few pickleball lessons and played a few games with us. Both girls have a few tennis games under their belts and were able to pick up the game fairly easily. We all enjoyed the games.
After a few hot games we spent the rest of the day and evening at the apartment. We continued to whittle away at birthday party leftovers, then Duane and I taught them to play one of our favorite card games -- Wizard.
Tomorrow: one last day of Cincinnati fun.
