Hidden Treasures

While we were wandering around the desert yesterday in search of rock treasures, I found some hidden gems:

An infant saguaro nestled in the arms of a palo verde,

new green grass growing everywhere,

emerald moss, soft as velvet,

a pile of mud that turned into

milky chalcedony,

a herd of (4) cattle

cigarette butts?  no, millipede exoskeleton,

cheerful red fruits from last spring’s flowers.

We are always on the lookout for unusual saguaro.  Exiting our afternoon adventure I found this one with many full-sized arms straight up.

Come back tomorrow and see what we saw today.
