Yep! Today we received the first of the two Pfizer COV19 vaccines. The process was the same as the news has been showing with vehicles driving slowly through a parking lot, having our forms (downloaded from the net) checked, and finally arriving at the people with the syringes. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the new batch of vaccines to arrive, before we received our shots, then lined up with all the other people waiting 15 minutes to see if anyone had any immediate reaction to the medicine. The whole process took about 1/2 hour. Back home Duane went online to set up our next appointment. I have relatives in two other states that have reported that their second appointment was given to them as soon as they received their shots, but here in Tyler Tx. we had to set them up ourselves.
After about 4 hours I started feeling some malaise. I took my temperature. It was 98.6, up almost 2 degrees from this morning (96.9). A few hours later it was back to normal. Duane felt fine all day. Both of us have some mild muscle pain around the injection site.
Glad to have the first one done,
Louise and Duane
