That Time Of Year

Just hear that engine thunderin’, tailpipes rumblin’ too.

Come on!  It’s lovely weather for a bike ride together with you!

Outside the air is warm and the sky is sunny and blue.

Come on!  It’s lovely weather for a bike ride together with you!

Rev it up, rev it up, rev it up!  Lets go!  Let’s look at the scene.

We’re riding through land that’s gold and green.

Rev it up, rev it up, rev it up!  It’s sweet!  Settle into the seat.

We’re cruising along with the road rolling on beneath our feet.

There’s a little cafe about midday.  It’s the perfect place to stop

for burgers and fries, iced water or tea, or maybe a soda pop.

There are other things too:  a museum to view as down the road we go.

A pioneer town, then turn around and head back home.  And so,

Just hear that engine rumblin’, tailpipes thunderin’ too.

It was such lovely weather for a bike ride together with you.

Outside the leaves were fallin,  the road was callin us home,

But soon we’ll hop on the bike again and find other places to roam. 

But not tomorrow.
