Just Like His Brother

When we visited our son Jeremy, he had made previous plans that limited our visit with his family to Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and  dinner out on Thursday.  Our visit with Jesse turned out the same way.

While Jesse was at work this am we found our way to to this community center in Lake Jackson.

This place is really big and really well kept, and the staff welcoming and helpful.  Facilities include two Olympic-sized pools, one dedicated to laps.

Treadmills filled this side of the room; a weight room was on the other.

Across the hall is a room that big for aerobics and a handball/racquetball court.

We were here for pickleball in the gym that held two full-sized basketball courts.

That’s me in the background.

After our 2 hour workout, we took ourselves to That Way

for lunch at this little restaurant

with our long-time friends (and former fellow full-timers) Anita and John.  Our two hour visit was too short, but we made the most of it by yakking as much as possible.

While Jesse had a tire fixed on his truck we took him to pick up Bella after school.

We stopped of at our house so that Bella could see how we live,

then rounded out the evening with dinner at Texas Road House (Katelyn had to work late) before we had to say goodbye until the next time.

As with Jeremy, we had quality time with Jesse and his family.  Hopefully, next time we will have more time.

No more family  or friends to visit in the near future.
