That Time Of Year

Our last Saturday here at Medina Lake, TX was beautiful riding.  The Eagle took us east on CR 16 to Bandera

where we found the last night of the 11th Street Bar Cowboy Mardi Gras in full swing.

The block was filled with bikers and regular folks enjoying the party.

The three day event includes a parade and Mardi Gras themed competitions including one for costumes.

This Texas Longhorn steer  (wearing a saddle) is huge!  It gives you an idea what the Texas cowboys had to deal with when they rounded up these wild cattle out of the brush and mesquite.

On the ride home we enjoyed the warm evening air,

beautiful sunset,

and pink clouds.

The rest of the evening we played cards with our new friends.

Oh what fun the 11th Street Bar Cowboy Mardi Gras looks like. I am sure it was a nut house, but once-in-a-lifetime experience.
