Eagle took us 157 miles and 4000' up to 8300' in a 4 hour afternoon flight.
Once we passed the power giants and their various offspring,
the route went through open range grasslands toward the Black Range Mimbre Mountains.
At Hillsboro we headed west
soaring gradually upward through the beautiful Gila National Forest.
At Emory Pass we stopped to take in the view of the pass
that brought us to the pass.
From there it was all downhill
until we reached the valley grazing lands again.
Beautiful day beautiful ride.
One more day. What shall we do?
