In all days of hiking the woodland paths of Tyler (TX) State Park we've glimpsed deer only twice. It's no wonder, then, that we were very surprised this morning to find this mother and baby just behind the big picnic pavilion!
We were more surprised that they didn't immediately run, but stood placidly watching us watch them!
This job does have its occasional perks!
