Different Family, More Fun

Moving day found us heading north west on county roads dotted with small towns.

The ride was scenic with lots of trees and masses of Texas bluebonnets.

We arrived in due time in Leonard and found a nice spot in the city park for the next week.

After lunch and a rest, we drove 6 miles to visit our son Duane Jr., daughter-in-law Brandey, and grand kids (twins) Emma and Ava, Alyssa, and Coy.  We were in time to visit for a few minutes before time to gather kids and snacks and drive to the twins' riding lesson.  Brandey stayed at the gym to teach a class.

While Jr. and the twins collected horses and get them ready to ride,

Grandpa and I played with the two little ones.

After a bit Alyssa ran to play with her friend (who lives here).  Coy tried his hand at roping.

The lesson for today, running barrel patterns, trying for more control and less time.  Here's Emma

and Ava doing their stuff.

Before we left we had to check out this week old baby.

Brandey joined us at the local cafe for dinner.

After dinner we goofed off at the house for another 1/2 hour or so before we headed home.

A beautiful day today, rain forecast for tomorrow.
