Short But Sweet

I had in mind to tell you about the town of Columbus, TX which is the closest to the Colorado River Thousand Trails park which is our home for another week.  Just before Duane went to bed and left me the computer, I called my oldest sibling to wish him happy birthday tomorrow.  He will be 78 on March 1.  We ended up chatting for two hours!    I guess tomorrow I will write about Columbus—or not.

Today we played three-way cut-throat wind pickleball with our new friend Sandy.  The wind is usually calm all night from sunset to sunrise.  Around the time we start playing—10:30—the breeze has been picking up to 10—15 mph.  I like wind ball.  It makes me pay attention to ball placement and makes me laugh to see the ball actually change direction in mid air.  This afternoon Duane fixed our roof leaks.  Unfortunately, when he was looking at the base of the tv antenna, he found the rubber roof  pulling away and exposing the wood supports underneath.  He managed to get that fixed, and we’re hoping that it lasts until next fall—after our summer touring is finished—when we plan to have our roof replaced.

We enjoyed some wonderful warm sunshine today.  Hope it lasts.
