No Rest Today

Our day of activities started with a drive to the Lake Jackson (TX) Rec Center.

This is a really nice one with a large workout room with machines and weights, a large yoga/arobics room (not pictured) to the left,

two pools--lap pool and water arobics/free swim,

and double gym with only four colors on the floor.  As pickleball players arrived we set up nets and played for two hours.

From there we ate lunch at Firehouse Subs (one of our favorites), shopped for fresh vegetables and went home.  An hour later we drove back to Lake Jackson to meet (son) Jesse and (grandaughter) Bella for a visit.  (Katelyn had to work.) Jesse and Katelyn have their  Oyster Creek house (the one close to where we are staying in Quintana Beach) empty and for sale.  While they wait for an offer on it they are living with Katelyn's parents in West Columbia, and keeping an eye out for any houses for sale that might interest them.  We met Jesse and Bella in Lake Jackson so that Jesse could show us a house that they had found.  It is very nice, sitting on

2 1/2 acres.  The downside is that it was flooded with 4 feet of water during hurricane Harvey.  That dark line on the tree shows the water height.   The house is still being renovated from the flooding.

From there we went in search of food.  We ended up at a nice Chinese reataurant.  After stuffing ourselves at the buffet (everything hot and clean), we drove to J & K's house to see how nice it looks now.  When we were here last fall, Jesse was still painting, and replacing flooring.  It looks really nice now--open, airy, light.
That was the last of our activities, and our energy.  We exchanged our hugs and kisses and headed to Freeport while Jesse took Bella home to West Columbia.

Tomorrow, a day of rest--at least until Jesse gets off work.
