Take the open road on a beautiful mostly sunny day,
add a 54 mile roller coaster ride across a mountain ridge through two states,
throw in a boatload of snaky curves,
and lots of vista views,
spice it up with a thousand feet of elevation changes, a few 13% grades,
and forty shades of green
and you have the Talimena National Byway along the Winding Stair Mountain ridge and through the Ouichita National Forest.
