On our last day with the Whitewright family we hosted a two-weeks-early birthday party for our twin granddaughters.
First came Texas bar-b-q dinner with Allyssa (5) and Grandpa, Ava & Emma (soon to be 10), a friend of theirs from church, Brandey, Duane Jr, and Coy (4).
Back at their present quarters at the gym, the twins finally received the gifts we prepared for them last April (see Little Cowgirl blog).
They were very pleased.

While Brandey admired her "twin granddaughter"
and the girls redressed their dolls, the rest of the family erupted in chaos.
No cake, but there was ice cream:Texas' best, Blue Bell in a new flavor--Cookie Two Step, a combo of cookies and cream and cookie dough.

good to the last drop.
