For their birthday present this year our twin granddaughters requested western outfits for their American Girl dolls. Duane found a chaps pattern, tweaked it for better fit and offered suggestions as to how they should fit. Granddaughter Allie kindly let me use her doll as a model. I had gotten that far before my surgery, then decided that it would make a good project to pass the time during my recovery. Last Saturday I picked up the process again and finished them on Sunday. Today I made the second pair, start to finish.
Duane and I agree that they turned out pretty well.
Next I'll make each one a pair of blue jeans to add to the
boots and felt hats that I bought.
We think the girls will be pleased.
Louise and Duane
