On the yucky weather scale, the day today was between icky and nasty. Icky is cool and wet, nasty is cold and wet. Today was just plain dreary with a solid gray cloud cover for the fourth day in a row and a high only in the mid 40’s.
I know somebody who thinks all gray days are dreary and will shut the blinds early in the evening to shut out the gray, yet thinks that gray in the house is comforting. I think gray outside is sometimes necessary to allow water to nourish the earth, but there is no room for that sensory depriving (lack of) color anywhere in my house. If it is outside, I can shut it out, but if it’s inside, I have nowhere to hide from it!
