On our 238 mile drive today from Waynesville, MO to Claremore, OK, we encountered a mix of clouds giving way to sunshine and blue skies. We drove up and down long hills and straight flats past loads of trees
and big farms
Claremore is best known as the home of entertainer Will Rogers, and that’s one reason we’re here.
Driving through town we caught a glimpse of the main street
and passed the Rogers State University campus, with its flag at half mast.
Our home until Monday is the Claremore Elks.
There are six spots here, some with electric only, some with electric and water, although the water is turned off right now.
That’s us on the left. The building is on the right of this picture,
and this sports field is on the left.
Mixed in with the beautiful scenery was a variety of advertisements. This huge field of Tracker boats was next to the factory.
There were lots of these “in your face'” ads for miles before the Branson exit.
These wire sculptures were an ad for the company that made them.
We have four places to visit while we’re here. We’re going to have a couple of busy days.
Come tour with us.
Louise and Duane

I wish there was a law against all the eye sores along the highways. Yuck!
