Around and Around

Since our last stay here was 1/12 years ago, we took a walk around to see if anything had changed.

We took the drive to the right to

the boardwalk access to the beach.

Strolling toward the pier we noticed that the beach was littered with lots of beautiful shells.  Gathering anything here is strictly illegal.

The shells were beautiful and tempting

but the law protects their inhabitants—such as this hermit crab.

Under the pier and to the right we gained the road past the bird sanctuary and ended up back at the park in time for lunch.

In the evening we met son Jesse, daughter-in-law Katelyn and granddaughter Bella the scary vampire for a trick-or-treat stroll around the mall.

A really creepy guy showed up, as did

a family of ghouls.

To top off the creepiness, Pennywise put in an appearance.

I took a picture of this kid in camouflage, but of course he is invisible.

In Texas, the land of rabid football fans, I found only one player and one cheerleader.

Going past the candy store, I wondered if they would have enough for the line of beggars.

Katelyn was dismayed that Christmas is encroaching on her Halloween enjoyment.

She assuaged her grief with a trip here

for ice cream and a nice visit.

A full day tomorrow.

The shells are really pretty.
What a great, safe idea of Halloweening at the Mall. Some people come up with the craziest costumes.
