After constant rain from 11pm last night to 5 pm today, the rain finally moved off. We were able to bundle up and take our walk, though the cold north wind made us wish we hadn't!
Along the way we found this poor thing. It was a pretty black on the top
and brilliant orange and black on the bottom. Research told me it was an Eastern Mud Snake, a nonvenomous bug and worm eater.
After our walk, the cloud cover broke apart allowing the setting sun to contrast pink clouds with blue sky. We were treated to this scene for a whole 20 minutes before the sky was solid gray again.
Rain's over for a whole day!
