This past week Duane and I have spent most of our days riding the wonderful winding hills of south east Ohio with our biker buddies Brock and Leola.
Sometimes they led the way on Spyder
Other times we led the way flying on our Harley Heritage, affectionately known as the Screaming Eagle.
The roads were wonderfully hilly
and curvy, two great reasons to ride.
The beautiful autumn foliage was icing on the cake
We enjoyed several meals together, at this spur of the moment pick at the edge of Lancaster, which was ok
this little place in the little village of Chesterhill, where the food was good and the service was excellent,
a fast food place in Pomeroy where we watched the barge traffic on the Ohio River with West Virginia on the other side,
this place in McConnelsville which made excellent pizza and honored our veterans
and this place, where we enjoyed one last dinner (we part company tomorrow) and solved many of the world's problems.
Even though we spent hours flying over rolling, twisting roads drinking in the wonderful autumn scenery and eating with our friends, it wasn't enough. Next time we'll plan on more time.
Moving day tomorrow.
Louise and Duane
