Our last day to ride was as beautiful as the previous three, with the added bonus of being a tad warmer. The Rim Of The World was the name given to today's Windy Nine ride through Ohio's beautiful autumn foliage north east of Athens.
Up and up we went
and experienced some wonderful vista views and fall colors everywhere.
Down we went
to keep the Muskingam River company for a while
then up again (the river is that little light spot in the trees).
In McMonnelsville we stopped at the first place we found
and discovered a gem--cheerful welcoming staff, good service and lots of fresh hot pizza on the buffet.
In a corner near the door was this poignant reminder.
On we went enjoying the scenery, the roads and the beautiful weather.
I said a while ago that Ohio is really beautiful in spring, summer, and fall. Our rides this week have confirmed my opinion.
