Yesterday morning before we left on our quest for afternoon pie, we spent an interesting hour listening to a Civil War reenactor representing Andrew Adkinson Humphreys, a career US Army officer, civil engineer and Union General during the Civil War.  He talked about his career and service during the war.  He explained his part in the battles at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and Appomattox Court House. 

In the evening we visited with our resident barred owl, surveying his domain from his favorite tree.
