This morning we packed up and moved 110 miles northwest to Sumpter Oaks Escapees RV Park in Bushnell, which will be our home for the next 5 days. We were both feeling the flu-like effects of stage 2 of our shingles vaccines--slight raise in temperature, minor aches, general fatigue. We set up, ate lunch, and took 1 hour naps. In the late afternoon we walked around the park. The last time we were here was several years ago when we work camped here. This time, other than the manager, we saw no one we knew. I took a few pictures and went inside to rest for a couple of hours before I took a shower.
The drive-thru site we have is long enough for us but the placement of hookups hinders Duane from parking the bike under the nose. To the left
is the Activity Center, here getting ready for Bingo, and where we'll be eating lasagna dinner tomorrow.
Next to it is the community fire circle (something will be going on there Sat.) Around the corner a few feet is
the Clubhouse. The office takes up the corner with the laundry room on the left and the clubhouse activities room on the right.
We had no particular plans for this area. It is just an easy stage on our way back to Texas for docors' visits starting in March. Hopefully we'll both start feeling normal tomorrow, and will be ready for some activities in the park and in the area.
Tomorrow's a new day.
Louise and Duane
