At Home

The Westerly RV Park is our home base while we are exploring the Durango, CO area.  We have been here for one week of our two week stay. The park is very small, just 26 back-in sites, but they are all 50 amp full hook-ups.

This is the eastern view of the entire park, which is enlcosed by a high board fence.

On the south just inside the gate is the small office with a 2w/2d laundry in the rear, the manager’s site, and 6 back-in slots.

Along the south fence, which separates the park from US 550, is a horseshoe pit (long unused), the dumpster, and a small dog park.

The other two sides are lined with back-in sites.  The perimeter sites are all shady.

We have one of the center double slots, which are long enough for two big rigs and their tow vehicles.  People back in or pull in depending on which side of the rig has the hook-up connections.  On the north and south are nice views of the mountains, while on the east and west are walls of trees.

I hope I never see any real bears here.

The dog park is small, but clean-up supplies are provided.

There are no amenities at this park, but it is a safe place to park while we explore the Durango area.

Back on the road next time.
