Sitting In Trenton

Yesterday we drove from Abilene to Trenton and parked in the front yard of son Duane Jr, daughter-in-law Brandey, and grandkids Emma, Ava (aka The Twins), Alyssa, Coy, and Will.  We have not parked here before and the grandkids love coming over to visit every day.  Today turned out to be craft day which started when Ava told us about a school project she needed to do.  As it turned out I was able to help her.  As she sewed together her Fur Trade era "Possibles Bag",

Emma told Grandpa she was bored.  Gramps thought of a new skill she might learn--wood burning.

Meanwhile Alyssa and Coy wandered in and out while Will hung out with us.
(All kids under the age of 5 love our house.  It's just their size.)

Will's favorite activity is pretending to wash dishes.

After several hours the girls completed their projects:

Emma was pleased with her horse

and Ava made a pretty good hand-stitched bag.

We will be sitting here in Trenton until Monday.

Tomorrow, more projects.

Louise and Duane
