Hobnobbin'

There's always something going on here in Saddlebag Lake Park in Lake Wales Florida.  Today my friend Wanda (in the green) invited me to join the Womens' Club for their Christmas potluck lunch and business meeting.  The Womens' Club has about 200 members who hold several fund raisers throughout the year.  Some of the money is donated to the Lake Wale community, but most of it is spent on park projects.

At this meeting they collected toys for the community children.

About half of the members showed up to yak and stuff face.

There was plenty of good food with lots of deviled eggs and desserts.

At any themed activity, some of the ladies like to dress the part.  I saw several Santa hats, one decorated Christmas tree (kind of lost in the wreath), a pair of snowman antennae,

blinking lights Minnie ears, a Who hat (I think),

and Wanda's elf hat.

The board of directors conducted the short meeting with two members sporting presents on their heads.

One guy was present.  He was in charge of the sound system used during the business meeting.

Lunch today, pickleball tomorrow.
